Giveaway OVER-Hahnemühle Toned Watercolour Books

U.S. only. Sorry, with the COV19 mess going on, I’m afraid to try mailing internationally for fear the package would get lost.

Earlier this month, I reviewed the new Hahnemühle toned Watercolour books. There was a Doodlewash giveaway going on at the time, and I decided to wait until it was over to give you another chance to win them.

Giveaway has ended :

U.S. only

One winner will receive:

  • One A5 beige-toned watercolour book
  • One A5 grey-toned watercolour book

Send me an email at LifeImitatesDoodles@gmail.com with:

  • I want to win Toned Watercolour Books‘ in the subject line
  • A sentence or two telling me what you would paint.

Giveaway ends on Friday, May 1, 2020 at 11:59 PM PDT. I’ll announce the winner sometime on Saturday, May 2.

Lowland Tapir – Postcards for the Lunch Bag

Did you know that April 27th is World Tapir Day?

I’m playing with some new colors and combinations – mainly Tiger’s Eye Genuine and Mummy Bauxite. The result is fairly ugly, but also fairly accurate. Nonetheless, I’ll look for ways to brighten up this combination.

Did you know that sloths never have trouble breathing even though they hang upside down for hours? This is because their organs are physically attached to their ribcage!

Hand-Carved

Artwork: Zebra Zensations Technical Pen in a Beige Toned Hahnemühle Watercolour sketchbook

This a pen drawing of a pioneer carving that was on display at the Barberville Pioneer Settlement museum in Florida. I was going to paint, but decided I’d leave it as pen drawing.

A carving like this would be a family treasure, so I’m claiming it for the Doodlewash prompt of Keepsake.

Did you know that baby giraffes drop up to 6 ft when they are born, usually landing on their head. Surprisingly, most survive!
