The Australian Shepherd

#doodlewashJune2022: Dog.

Did you know that the australian shepherd is not from Australia? Some believe they made their entrance to the U.S. following their Basque masters who had immigrated to Australia then to the U. S. Others believe the breed are off-shoots of British Herding dogs like the collie.

This is more of a sketch than an actual painting, done quickly when I realized that I’d forgotten to do a postcard for hubby’s lunch bag.

Artist Ambassador for Zebra Pens. I'm a self-taught artist who dances about with all sorts of artistic mediums. My main loves are Watercolor, Zentangle and Ballpoint pen. The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? At my Life Imitates Doodles Blog, I post a list of resource links for Tangles, Tutorials and Giveaways two times a week. I also write reviews, hold giveaways and share my art work.

  1. I love these dogs. A good friend has one and “Annie’s” temperament is amazingly gentle and sweet. Your husband is the most blessed man in the world ~ to get a painting everyday from his beloved! NOW, I’m thinking of a book with this storyline…and illustrations! 🙂 hahaha. I never quit hounding you to publish!
