Red Panda – Two Panda

#doodlewashJune2022: Red Panda.

Did you know there are two species of Red Panda? Recent DNA discoveries have revealed that Chinese Red Pandas and Himalayan Red Pandas are two distinct species, though the difference is mainly in the head shape, and coloration — more white on the Chinese Panda’s face and more distinct rings on the Himalayan’s tail.

I was playing with chinese white and titanium white in this painting, and it’s given it sort of a blurry feel. I’ll probably stick with gouache to add white in the future, but I’ll keep this as is as a reminder why.

Artist Ambassador for Zebra Pens. I'm a self-taught artist who dances about with all sorts of artistic mediums. My main loves are Watercolor, Zentangle and Ballpoint pen. The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? At my Life Imitates Doodles Blog, I post a list of resource links for Tangles, Tutorials and Giveaways two times a week. I also write reviews, hold giveaways and share my art work.
