The Easter Egger Chicken

#doodlewashMay2022 prompts: Dough. Wow, I had to fight to connect chickens with dough – but I did it! There is a ongoing debate over the safety of feeding raw dough to chickens. Definitely shouldn’t have eggs or uncooked yeast in it, if you do.

Did you know the Easter Egger chicken is so called because none has the same plumage, and their eggs can blue or green or olive or pink or any shade in between (they’re also called Rainbow Layers)? Some have beards and some have ear tufts and some have no tail. There’s no way to tell hens from roosters based on their looks. What they all have in common is a gentle, friendly disposition, so while you may not know what you’re going to end up with from a chick, you know it will be a sweet surprise.
