The Blue Whale

#doodlewashMarch2022: Vacuum Cleaner

Did you know that the blue whale is sort of like the vacuum cleaner of the ocean, sucking up to four tons of krill each day. They’re sneaky vacuum cleaners too, staying below where the krill won’t notice them, and striking from beneath when dinnertime rolls around!

I was in a hurry, and couldn’t find a good blue whale photo reference quickly, so I looked for Blue Whale tutorials. I used the one by Gogivo Creatives, because it was sweet and fast. I apologize to the artist though. I started with their tutorial but just used the colors on my palette, and I quickly diverged into my own style. It’s a great tutorial though and I recommend it for anyone who isn’t sure how to paint a whale.
