Silver Cheeked Hornbill

#doodlewashFebruary2022: Seeds. Because hornbills eat fruit, and fruit has seeds. I know – weak, but it was the best I could come up with!

Did you know that the femaile silver cheeked hornbill seals herself up in a tree while nesting? She leaves an opening just wide enough for the male hornbill to pass food, such to her, and he feeds her until their chicks are ready to fly.

Artist Ambassador for Zebra Pens. I'm a self-taught artist who dances about with all sorts of artistic mediums. My main loves are Watercolor, Zentangle and Ballpoint pen. The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? At my Life Imitates Doodles Blog, I post a list of resource links for Tangles, Tutorials and Giveaways two times a week. I also write reviews, hold giveaways and share my art work.

  1. Okay, I am not sure how to say this, but I think this lady bird will push her booty up to the opening of the lodging and……squirt out her feces. I believe it’s her, but there is a bird that I know does this. I thought it was hilarious, but impressed that she wanted to keep her nest clean and hygienic.
