I is for Ingredients

#doodlewashFebruary2022: Casserole. ‘Cause you gotta have ingredients for a good casserole, right?

Did you know that in 1955, the Associated Press featured the Green Bean Casserole recipe in their Thanksgiving edition, and it has been a holiday tradition for many ever since? And possibily, it’s the origin of the saying ‘haters gonna hate’. Mind you, that’s just my take on the subject, because I hate the stuff like you wouldn’t believe.

  1. Good morning, Sandra! If you ever have the time to waste, look up “My New Zealand Family” on YouTube. They are so freakin’ cute! It’s the parents, two kids, and their cutie-patootie dog named Kylo. They are such a sweet family. Anyway, they love the US so much and their videos consist of them trying American foods like different chips, they went crazy over the Kool-Aid that someone sent them, they just made Smores, etc. One of their videos was of them making an entire Thanksgiving dinner American style. They even made homemade pumpkin pie from scratch. They about lost their mind over pumpkin pie and the Smores. So, they mention wanting to try green bean casserole and were stumped as to what a casserole is. They are so cute! Now I’m hungry.
