Y is for Yeti

#DoodlewashJanuary2022 Prompt: Yeti.

Did you know that you need a special permit before you can hunt the Yeti? Rules were established in 1959 – you can photograph them, but killing them isn’t allowed (except in self-defense) and any evidence found must be give to the Nepalese authorities. Sounds reasonable to me.

I did some experimenting with this one. I colored on plastic with the brush pens, and then mixed it with white gouache. It didn’t work as well as I hoped, but there is some real potential for getting lighter colors, once I get the technique down.

Artist Ambassador for Zebra Pens. I'm a self-taught artist who dances about with all sorts of artistic mediums. My main loves are Watercolor, Zentangle and Ballpoint pen. The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? At my Life Imitates Doodles Blog, I post a list of resource links for Tangles, Tutorials and Giveaways two times a week. I also write reviews, hold giveaways and share my art work.
