X is for Xylophone

#DoodlewashJanuary2022 Prompt: Xylophone.

Did you know that other names for xylophones, over the years, were “wooden clatters” and “straw fiddles”?

This is my least favorite of this project, but also the one that I did the quickest. Sometimes quick can lead to good things. Sometimes, not so much, lol!

Artist Ambassador for Zebra Pens. I'm a self-taught artist who dances about with all sorts of artistic mediums. My main loves are Watercolor, Zentangle and Ballpoint pen. The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? At my Life Imitates Doodles Blog, I post a list of resource links for Tangles, Tutorials and Giveaways two times a week. I also write reviews, hold giveaways and share my art work.

  1. Hola, Sandra! In Mexico, they use the marimba, which is similar. The keys are wood instead of metal. It’s used mostly in the tropical areas like Veracruz, the Yucatan region. It’s so beautiful and reminds me of breezy beachsides. Great painting!
