Arctic Fox

  • #DoodlewashDecember2021: Arctic Fox.

Did you know that during the winter months, the Arctic Fox is considered to have the warmest coat of any animal in the world?

This painting was a challenge because I was with someone who kept pushing my arm as I painted and who managed to splash a large amount of water onto the painting halfway through.

I almost decided to just toss it, but there is a feel to this I like, so I kept on, and I’m not unhappy with the result. I’m not exactly happy, either, but it keeps me looking at it. Any painting that keeps you looking is worth keeping!

Artist Ambassador for Zebra Pens. I'm a self-taught artist who dances about with all sorts of artistic mediums. My main loves are Watercolor, Zentangle and Ballpoint pen. The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? 1. Just love your Winter Fox! You managed to paint it, despite push, splash, and all. I may need to order that Allegri set to get results like yours.

  2. I love this fox! His soft fur in protective coloration that makes him meld into the snowy background. And that intense forward stare that absolutely rivets you in place. Brava! Sandra for using the obstacles and the accidental “wash” to this foxes advantage!
