#DoodlewashSeptember2021 Prompt: Cookie. It isn’t just cookie monsters that like cookies!
Did you know that only New World (Americas) monkeys have prehensile tails? So this Old World squirrel monkey has a cookie but he can’t hold on to things with his tail.

I did not know that about their tails. Interesting. He is so cute.
Thank you, Alice! I thought it was interesting, too!
Love your squirrel monkey. My brother brought home a squirrel monkey to babysit for the summer from one of his school teachers. We had an ornery poodle who like to harass the monkey when he was outside in his cage (the monkey, not the poodle) One day the poodle got too close to the cage and Murphy (the monkey) reached out for the dog between the bars, caught him on both sides of his mouth, and proceeded to bang the dogs head against the cage until someone noticed what he was doing and we removed the dog. I guess it wasn’t really funny but the idiot dog got what he deserved. Needless to say, he steered clear of the monkey’s cage after that…lol.
That must have been great fun!
