#DoodlewashAugust2021 prompt: Castle.
Did you know that topiary can be traced back to Julius Cesar, who made it all the rage? Of course, the Greeks, Chinese and Japanese were creating similar things before that under different names.
I decided it had been a while since I did something entirely with pen and marker, and this seemed perfect for that medium.
- Pen: Zebra Zensations Technical Pen, Sarasa Retractable Clip Gel Pens
- Marker: Zebra Mildliner Highlighters
- Paper: Hahnemühle Nostaglie Sketchpaper

Artist Ambassador for Zebra Pens. I'm a self-taught artist who dances about with all sorts of artistic mediums. My main loves are Watercolor, Zentangle and Ballpoint pen. The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? At my Life Imitates Doodles Blog, I post a list of resource links for Tangles, Tutorials and Giveaways two times a week. I also write reviews, hold giveaways and share my art work.

Those deep colors sing! Orange and Lime and Purple…all my favorite contrasting relatives! And the shadow scribbles are the perfect texture! Beautiful, Sandra. You and pen & ink are such comrades!
