My artsy.rooo DTIYS Challenge Response

DTIYS – ‘Do This In Your Style’ is popular on Instagram right now. An artist draws or paints something and challenges others, not to copy, but to paint the same subject in their own way.

This is probably the only time I’ll do one, because I always have too many other projects going on. Artsy.rooo’s style is so dynamic, bold and bright and I loved his challenge painting, so this once I jumped in and did it. Currently, I’m experimenting with the poster art style, so that’s the way I did it.

Surprisingly it came closer to Jayme’s style than I thought it would, so I hope it’s different enough (I know it isn’t as well done!).

Artwork done with Arteza gouache and Black Tulip brushes on Hahnemühle 300 lb Hot Press Collection paper.

Artist Ambassador for Zebra Pens. I'm a self-taught artist who dances about with all sorts of artistic mediums. My main loves are Watercolor, Zentangle and Ballpoint pen. The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? At my Life Imitates Doodles Blog, I post a list of resource links for Tangles, Tutorials and Giveaways two times a week. I also write reviews, hold giveaways and share my art work.
