#DoodlewashFebruary2021 Prompt: Shadows.

Did you know that chameleons communicate with each other through their color changes. Among other things, females show acceptance or rejection of their suitors by their color.

The background was done with gouache and a GelliArts printing plate in a Hahnemühle ZigZag book, and this was what it looked like before I used Zebra Pen’s Sarasa Retractable Clip Gel Pens.

To find a list of dealers, who carry Hahnemühle products in the U.S. and Canada, go here and scroll through to find one near you.

Artist Ambassador for Zebra Pens. I'm a self-taught artist who dances about with all sorts of artistic mediums. My main loves are Watercolor, Zentangle and Ballpoint pen. The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? At my Life Imitates Doodles Blog, I post a list of resource links for Tangles, Tutorials and Giveaways two times a week. I also write reviews, hold giveaways and share my art work.

  1. Do you try to find a hidden picture in your gelli prints or do you have an idea in your mind already?

  2. I love how the boundaries are blurred with this process….this chameleon does just blend in with his environment!
