#DoodlewashJanuary2021 prompt: Key. Did you know that the Skeleton Key was invented in Ancient Rome and was still in heavy use until after World War II?
This is another page in my Hahnemühle ZigZag book, that I filled with backgrounds using a GelliArts printing plate. This time I used Zebra Sarasa Retractable Clip Gel Pens to create detail without totally obscuring the background.

The background is absolutely gorgeous and the colors are perfect for an old rusted skeleton key, which is what I see. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Leslie! I used different colors when I switched to the backside of the Zigzag book, and I kind of regret it because these reds and yellows are so dynamic.
This looks like it was really fun to create. The result is dynamic – a boring way to try to describe super exciting!
Thank you so much, Sharon! It was fabulous creating the backgrounds for this ZigZag book, and then deciding what the color tells me. I used different colors for the backside and can’t wait to see what I see in them.
