Artwork-Gouache on Hahnemühle Coldpress ‘The Collection’ Watercolor paper.
Lots of things coming up in the near future. On Sunday afternoon, I’ll be launching a giveaway for a copy of Alice Hendon’s new ‘Life in Tangles’ book. On Monday, my review of the book will be going up at Doodlewash. And I have another giveaway planned for Zebra pen Mildliner pens, but that may happen after the Christmas Holiday. Or maybe sooner. We’ll see.
Did you know that the sunset is an illusion? By the time we see one, the sun is already deep in the horizon – what we see in the sky is the refraction of the sun caused when the Earth’s atmosphere bends the sunlight.

I love the colors, the fence and trees, reminds me of my times in nature when I was a child.
Thank you, Jackie! It doesn’t snow like this often here, but it’s like a fairyland when it does.
we see a lot of scenes like this one here in Maine. it’s beautiful, Sandra ❤
Thank you, Alice!
Exquisite – the subtle layers of color draw me into the landscape while the snow laden fence grounds me. I feel the serenity of the snow and the power of the sun. A hopeful painting, Sandra. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Sharon!
….a refraction eh? Another example of time/space mystery. Love this sunset, the deciduous trees and especially that rustic fence!
Thank you, Judy! It’s amazing how different the world is from what we actually see and perceive.
