Artist Ambassador for Zebra Pens. I'm a self-taught artist who dances about with all sorts of artistic mediums. My main loves are Watercolor, Zentangle and Ballpoint pen. The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? At my Life Imitates Doodles Blog, I post a list of resource links for Tangles, Tutorials and Giveaways two times a week. I also write reviews, hold giveaways and share my art work.

What a lovely review of a beautiful book. I have always been drawn to this decorative art! As an old hippie, embroidering clothing in this style or making felt hats and slippers for my kids or painting decorative touches in the kitchen. I even took a sand-blasting course so I could add designs on the glass of my kitchen cupboards…and the date we bought our house…1976. This brings back fun memories!
Thank you, Judy! The style does remind me of tole painting, or that unpronouncable Russian style used on Easter eggs. Actually, I think just about every culture has some version of this kind of painting.
