The Poem with Doodlewash Prompts italicized.
A paleontologist dances a jig,
A historic moment has occurred at his dig!
With tools of patience and shovel and brush,
He’s uncovered a fossil with bones uncrushed.
A creature with paddle-like flippers he’s freed.
The magpie thinks, ‘There’s nothing left for a feed!’
It laughs, his feet on the barbed-wire fence,
And decides that the dance makes little sense.
