It was another beautiful day, yesterday, so hubby and I decided to do our favorite drive along the Columbia Gorge on the Washington side, returning home on the Oregon side.
The wind was blowing so hard it was difficult to get photos, but I did take a few during one stop.
We like to stop in Hood River and walk around a while.
Something I find even more enjoyable since there is a small art store, Tokki Art Supply, and I can usually convince Hubby to let me buy something or other. He’s the sweetest guy!

Artist Ambassador for Zebra Pens. I'm a self-taught artist who dances about with all sorts of artistic mediums. My main loves are Watercolor, Zentangle and Ballpoint pen. The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? At my Life Imitates Doodles Blog, I post a list of resource links for Tangles, Tutorials and Giveaways two times a week. I also write reviews, hold giveaways and share my art work.

It is beautiful – coniferous forest and waterfalls become river bluffs and basalt outcroppings and then semi-arid desert all within a couple hours drive. Miles of wilderness broken up by small little towns. If you don’t mind high winds as often as not, it’s one of the most beautiful drives imaginable.
Gorgeous country!!!
It is and such a change, going from coniferous forest and waterfalls to semi-arid desert with a couple of hours drive.
I can see why you like riding there! it’s beautiful scenery! and the art store is a definite plus 🙂

Beautiful photos of an always amazing landscape. We are so fortunate to live so close to such natural and spectacular scenery!!!
We are! I hope both Oregon and Washington continue to take such good care of our undeveloped area and keep them undeveloped.
