Doodlewash prompt: Bluebell

Did you know that according to folklore, bluebells ring at daybreak to wake the fairies? Probably not true, lol, but it’s fun to wonder what bluebells ringing might sound like.

  1. I think the bluebells woke the PAINTER! Holy Gouache! This is gorgeous….one of my new favorites of yours!! That luminous daybreak~ wow! Is this a form of gouache?

    1. Many thanks, Judy! No, I only used watercolor in this, but I used all opaque colors, most of which had been mixed with white. White Nights put out several colors of this type that are excellent! Very creamy, immediately re-wet and not chalky at all. Truthfully, I think much of the ‘gouache’ out there is simply watercolor with additives rather than the actual difference in milling.
