This is my painting from Melissa Gannon’s second class.
She used just a soupçon of lavender as a shadow accent. You know I like lavender, so of course I used too much. I had to adjust, which I did with permanent magenta. I like the result, but it isn’t anything like Melissa’s painting.
That’s okay, of course, except the reason for taking the class is to learn from her methods. I’ll try the painting again later, though I need to get started on another review for now.
My test painting to decide on colors – though I ended up pretty much ignoring it.

The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? I laughed about you ignoring your color test. But I love the finished painting – your use of colors in the shadows lends much depth. A beautiful artwork, Sandra.
Absolutely gorgeous!
Many thanks, Alice! I do like the way it came out because I’m all about the drama!
This absolutely GLOWS! Beautiful composition and colors….and love the lavender in this…it’s not too much! 😉
Many thanks, Judy! The marks from the plastic wrap used on the under-painting worked out so beautifully in this case.

Many thanks, Sharon! I’m really loving the blues and purples for shadows.
