Sunflowers at Sunset

This is my painting from Melissa Gannon’s second class.

She used just a soupçon of lavender as a shadow accent. You know I like lavender, so of course I used too much. I had to adjust, which I did with permanent magenta. I like the result, but it isn’t anything like Melissa’s painting.

That’s okay, of course, except the reason for taking the class is to learn from her methods. I’ll try the painting again later, though I need to get started on another review for now.

My test painting to decide on colors – though I ended up pretty much ignoring it.

Artist Ambassador for Zebra Pens. I'm a self-taught artist who dances about with all sorts of artistic mediums. My main loves are Watercolor, Zentangle and Ballpoint pen. The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? At my Life Imitates Doodles Blog, I post a list of resource links for Tangles, Tutorials and Giveaways two times a week. I also write reviews, hold giveaways and share my art work.
