Artwork: Zebra Zensations Technical Pen, & Daniel Smith Watercolor in a Grey Toned Hahnemühle Watercolour sketchbook
Hahnemühle has come out with toned watercolor books, one in beige and one in grey. I have a review going up on Doodlewash tomorrow, so be sure to check in. I’m also giving away one of each color to one lucky winner – check here at my blog tomorrow, for that.
Meanwhile, I thought I’d tease you with this painting. I did this in the Grey-toned book. Just before everything screeched to a halt, my husband and I visited family in Florida. We visited a Gator Farm. The rest of the family went on an Airboat ride, while I sketched.
It was too early for the Tiki bar to be open, but I enjoyed the ambience and the friendly Gator Waiter sign.
LOVE! the gator waiter!! What a fun sketch!!
Thank you so much, Mary!
reminds me of Florida for sure. Corky Bell’s is a seafood restaurant that has gator statues throughout the place. your gator waiter would fit right in!
Lol! This was a farm where kids could hold baby gators, and they had airboat rides – expensive airboat rides – where people could see lots of gators. Patrick and I couldn’t see paying $75 for a 1/2 hour ride just to see gators. Unfortunately, the bar was closed, but we did get some good ice cream.
Beautiful colors! Many hugs from lockdown Italy
Thank you, Antonella! Hugs from lockdown Oregon!
Just as I was beginning my eating out restrictions. LOL – very fun art, Sandra.
Thanks a million, Sharon!
