Happy and healthy Easter to those that celebrate! Happy and healthy day to those that don’t!
It’s been a while since I did a sheep in my handmade Mary Roff sketchbook. I decided I wanted something of an abstract look to it, but still cute … so this is what I came up with.
So do any of you remember this old Mary had a Little Lamb alternative? I always liked it more than the original. I think it’s unknown provenance. At any rate, I don’t know who wrote, but (s)he had my sense of humor.
Mary had a little lamb,
A lobster and some prunes,
A glass of milk, a piece of pie,
And then some macaroons;
It made the naughty waiters grin
To see her order so,
And when they carried Mary out,
Her face was white as snow.
Remember this at your next feast!

Thank you, Alice! One of my favorite poems ever, lol.
I can hardly get beyond laughing at the nursery rhyme turned naughty to tell you how much I like your mortified sheep. Happy Easter to you. (We’re still observing Passover here.)
Chag Pesach Sameach!
Thank you.
This lamb is wonderful! Oh he made me smile. Nothing like a baby lamb. I had not heard this version of Mary Had A Little Lamb…….too funny. I think? ;P LOLOLOL
Thank you, Lori! One of my favorite poems. What does that say about me, lol?
