Artwork-Daniel Smith Lunar blue, Undersea Green & Venetian Red on Hahnemühle William Turner Cold Press
I’d originally planned to do something more complex, but realized it would take some time. I may still do it, but for now I wanted to get something out so I did this quick abstract.

I did this painting on William Turner Cold Press (not to be confused with , Hahnemühle’s William Turner printer paper) one of my favoritist of watercolor papers because of the fantastic texture. You can find it at:
Thanks for sharing this….lovely diagonal rushing water….just saturating those thirsty and parched tropical greens….
beautiful offering! You should work in abstracts more!
Many thanks, Judy! I take spells where I do lots of abstract, then I go for long periods where I don’t. I get bored easily, lol.
animals need rain, people needs rain, the ground needs rain
Rain, rain, rain, beautiful rain!
This painting imparts the sensation of a downpour in the jungle – quite an effective representation of rain in a loose, gestural style. I love the touches of pink splashed throughout.
Thanks a million, Sharon! It sounds like I achieved my goal – you made my day.
