Artwork – Miya Arts Guauche, Zebra Zensations Calligraphy Pen and Zebra Pen Sarasa Clip Gel Retractable Pen in a Hahnemühle Cappuccino Book.
Note: I’ve been extremely disappointed with WordPress Premium and decided not to renew it. It ends today, and I’m not sure when I’ll get the chance to go online, so I apologize for any wonkiness on my blog that occurs before I get the chance to clean things up.
I get the occasional insomnia, and sometimes I do artwork because it helps stop my brain from firing on all pistons. The results are often peculiar.
Finding a page in my Cappuccino book that I had started drawing on, and abandoned, I covered it with gouache. The little that showed through suggested buildings, but cast shadows that didn’t go in the right direction.
I decided to just go with it. It’s peculiar, but who cares at 2:00 am?
Don’t worry we’re patient an try not to stress out to much, know its frustrating but something better will come along. So take your time an what ever you put out we’ll enjoy.
Have a better day an try to stay positive
Thank you, Joan! I don’t think the insomnia is so much stress as brain over-load. It won’t shut off – music plays, creative projects spring to mind, letters to the editor, etc. It usually only lasts a day or two and only happens a few times a year, usually when the light is changing. I just go with the flow and try to take advantage of the creativity.
I love shadows that have their own opinions! Good luck with the technology….and yes, don’t worry….your followers will find you. Sleep well and see you tomorrow! 🙂
Lol! I’m with you on shadows with attitude!
Insomnia is my middle name. But it’s all good, eh ? I like the vibrant colors in your buildings. Now I feel really awake.
I feel for you, Jackie! I don’t get it too often and usually it only lasts a few days but it’s enough for to know how miserable it can make someone.
Wish I knew you were up, Sandra (though I’m an hour ahead). Lots of productive creativity went on while you were up! you’ve inspired me to try the same in my Cappuccino journal, too, while I’m in a gouachy state of mind today. Miss you.
Are you having problems with insomnia? I sure wish you could have been here today. I got a set of Holbein gouache and was playing with them. I think I’ve got Judy hooked on them now, too.
