Porch Swing for Inktober

Artwork – Zebra Zensations Brush Pen on Hahnemuhle Nostalgie Postcards

I decided to focus on shapes and lines and to keep things simple for this drawing. It would have been better if I’d paid more attention to perspective, but I had to get it done quickly. Ah, life – you do take up my time, lol.

Today is the 9th day of Inktober, where anyone who is interested is challenged to do an ink drawing every day!

The official Inktober Prompt List.

And the Doodlewash prompt list for the month.

Zebra Pen is joining the fun with a month-long challenge, giving you the chance to win $250 dollars worth of pen products! Just follow zebrapen_us and zebrapen_canada on Instagram, and when you post your Inktober drawing there, use the hashtags #zensationschallenge #Inktober2019 and #Inktober.

  1. Your design is so good! The defined lines of the porch swing are balanced by the large floral lines that surround it. It invites your creative colors!

  2. we used to have a porch swing in Florida. I spent a lot of hours in it with Jason. then when I had kali I started getting motion sickness and I couldn’t use the swing any longer. I don’t know why I get dizzy so easily. but I really like your swing!

  3. Great mix of horizontal, vertical & curves; a geometric wonder seasoned by a wonderfully sentimental subject!
