Fish Bait for Inktober

Artwork- Zebra Zensations Brush Pen and PM-701 Permanent Marker on Hahnemühle Nostalgie Postcard

I actually started this drawing early in September. I was visiting the Basspro store and they have a HUGE aquarium that takes almost a whole wall. I did contour drawings of a few of the fish, and then had to leave the store. When I saw the prompts for today I remembered the drawing and finished it up. There’s plenty of fish, but I don’t see the bait so I think they already ate it!

  1. I really like this image – it has an Oriental flare, very effective in black ink. I don’t think it’s only the subject which is obvious, but also the way the background meanders around the fish, mimicking their movements.
