Today is the first day of Inktober, where anyone who is interested is challenged to do an ink drawing every day! There are prompts: Jake Parker (founder of Inktober) has an official list, but many others have put out lists as well, including the usual set of prompts from Doodlewash.com.
I did two drawings today, but for most of the months, I’ll combine the prompts and just do one.

Zebra Pen is joining the fun with a month-long challenge, giving you the chance to win $250 dollars worth of pen products! Just follow zebrapen_us and zebrapen_canada on Instagram, and when you post your Inktober drawing there, use the hashtags #zensationschallenge #Inktober2019 and #Inktober.

Incredibly intricate work. I think I’ve identified the first five rings you drew, but after that, I get lost. I guess that’s the point.
Thank you, Sharon. Getting lost in the rings is the point, in a way, though as much for me as for the viewer. It was one of those drawings done in the dentists office, more a means to relax than to create anything representational.
Sandra, that’s exactly what I was working on the rings of an onion lol,
As usual wonderful work!!!
Thank you, Mary. I think onion rings were inevitable given the prompts.
Must be the power of suggestion….I too did onion rings. (Or perhaps it’s just that great minds think alike!) 🙃😀
Oh definitely – it’s the great minds thing, lol. Thank you, Mariam!
Great way to start Inktober in October! I love the prompt, and your “rings around the onions”!
Thank you, Kathy! I hoping the rest of Inktober is as easy to follow.
Wow! Those are cool!
Thank you, Lori!
