This is the last doodle I drew while breakfasting with Mom. I happened to have a YouTangle tile and a Zebra technical pen in my purse and used them. Far better materials, but I kind of wish I’d used the back of a Work Seek page as I usually did. Just because it was the last one.
Mom called my crittur a tabbysaurus. I’d like to say he’s a for-real-animal, but nope. Just a striped figment of my imagination.

Artist Ambassador for Zebra Pens. I'm a self-taught artist who dances about with all sorts of artistic mediums. My main loves are Watercolor, Zentangle and Ballpoint pen. The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? At my Life Imitates Doodles Blog, I post a list of resource links for Tangles, Tutorials and Giveaways two times a week. I also write reviews, hold giveaways and share my art work.

Very cute. Your Mom and you must have been close.
Susan
Thank you, Shaninge. Yes, Mom and I were very close. I tried to have breakfast or lunch with her every day.
I wish I had known your Mom, Sandra. Calling that a “tabbysaurus” is congruous with your sense of humor and creativity. Seems that’s who you got it from. ❤
Both Mom and Dad had a great sense of humor, so I was doomed from the start, lol.
Such a lovely memory of being with your mom. I did crossword puzzles with my mom nearly every day. It was her passion and we had fun working them together. May your memories sustain you, as they seem to be doing.
That is a wonderful memory to have of your mother. Thank you for sharing this. My mother ( passed last year) really liked my drawings that she made a collage of them.
Thank you, Kathie. I hope you have the collage now as a keepsake.
