Artwork- Zebra Metallic Brush Pen in a Hahnemühle Black Book.

Doodlewash prompt Beet Red.
Beets are often more of a dusty purply-red than red-red so I thought the metallic pens would work well for them. Only – not so much. So I kind of have radioactive glowing beets. That’s fine with me. I never eat them anyway, lol.

Artist Ambassador for Zebra Pens. I'm a self-taught artist who dances about with all sorts of artistic mediums. My main loves are Watercolor, Zentangle and Ballpoint pen. The subjects of my work are many and varied and change at whim. I'm a little bit crazy, but doesn't that come with being an artist? At my Life Imitates Doodles Blog, I post a list of resource links for Tangles, Tutorials and Giveaways two times a week. I also write reviews, hold giveaways and share my art work.

Ty so much for sharing your world with me.
Thank you for your compliments!
these pens are really nice
I really like them. I just bought a 5-pack of the Mildliner brush pens. They’re nice, but a little different from the metallics. Same ink as the older versions.
The metallic pens work well on black, the little flecks of black grounding the work. (Yes, seems like a pun, but not intended.) This would make a perfect sign advertising red beets for folks wanting to buy them – to eat!
Thank you, Sharon! The effect of the metallic pen on black paper does make me think of some of the vintage crate box posters.
