Tutorial: Easy Rainy Day Urban Landscape

A while back, I did a painting that I thought was super simple, but my readers said it wasn’t.

I listened, and simplified it even more. You can paint this rainy day urban scene without worrying about proportion, perspective or technique. It’s quick, it’s easy and it’s fun!

The tutorial, complete with video, can be found at Doodlewash.

  1. Hi Sandra This urban sketch is cute an I did checkout Doodlewash. You’re a amazing, being extremely patient, I’m sure! Yes, it certainly was a trial an issue project not for the faint of heart, but for a true artist as yourself. Congratulations.
Thank you for an enjoy tutorial, which I’ll have archived….You may or may not remember me from previous comments, in which some I did make some fun comments, so this will come as not surprise I hope. I felt for you in your struggles an could only shake my head an had a huge smile. Once again lovely lady, you always find away to bring Sunshine into ones life. Sorry for it being so long an maybe a bit confusing. My daughter says, I type way to much, its like reading a crazy novel. Have a joyful day, can’t wait till the next email. Bye from Canadian Lady in Ontario

      1. Giving it a go, first trying it with watercolours, then my Tombows. Either way I’ll have something to send to my daughter who occasionally gets a good laugh at my art, its all in fun an besides the crazy art pieces make for the best conversations.
