Giveaway Day 5 (closed)-Celebrating my new blog!

The winner of Giveaway Day 4 is  Barbara Wirth!

My WordPress blog is ready to roll and I’m celebrating with 5 days of giveaways.  Each giveaway runs for 24 hours – 12:00 am to 11:59 pm PST
 and is international.

Thank you to everyone who entered my 5 days of giveaways.  I wish everyone could win.

To Enter: Giveaway has ended!

Leave a comment on this post letting me know – when you eat a gingerbread man do you start with the arms and legs or go directly for the head? If you don’t eat gingerbread man, tell me about some other fun dessert you eat.  ( It is NOT necessary to subscribe, but I would appreciate it if you did.  I am able to do reviews & giveaways because companies like the number of people who follow me.  The higher the number the more stuff I’ll be able to give away!)

Today’s giveaway ends tonight, December 7, 2018 at 11:59 PM PST.  I’ll reply to the winner’s comment on December 8.  The winner will have 72 hours to respond.

All of the Hahnemühle products were provided by Hahnemühle_USA.  I’m providing the 3-packs of Zebra Pens and for the grand prize on Friday, I also bought a Winsor & Newton Cotman set of watercolors and brushes.

One Winner will receive this Prize Package

Hahnemühle’s Britannia cold press watercolor paper is a student grade paper, but I really enjoy working on it.  The texture is similar to that of a mixed media paper.  The colors stay bright and it work well with a dry-brush technique, which is one of my favorites.

  1. Cinnamon rolls are my jam! XD I don’t think I’ve ever had a gingerbread man cookie before.. but if i did. His legs would go first, so he couldn’t run from me. ^—^

  2. From the feet upwards – it’s only polite! For some reason I’m unable to add your new blog to my Blogger sidebar blogroll – when I cut and paste the link it just seems to take me to your old blog… any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

      1. Yes, I take that domain from the top bar and paste it in but somehow it changes it. I can get an individual post to stay but not one that updates with new posts. Gah – Blogger is so frustrating. I’ll keep trying and try to notice if anyone else has done it successfully. Thankfully I’ll get your subscriber updates!

  3. I break my men all apart and jumble the pieces, close my eyes, and eat the first one I grab. Love yours though! It’s obviously too fast and good to eat! Thanks for running your blog and giveaways!

  4. I guess it depends which part is decorated the best. Then I would save that until last otherwise I go for head at least part of it then part of an arm and around the gingerbread cookie. It’s all good.

  5. I live in Brazil and we do not have gingerbread cookies here. But I remembered the chocolate tortoises from Arcor, always like the head first … I need to tell this to my psychiatrist …

  6. Silence of the Gingerbread Man… HEAD FIRST!!! 😂😂😂
Your GM is fantastic… and he is trying to escape too… he looks fast!
    That jacket is awesome 😍
Thanks for Day 5 opportunity ❤️💚

  7. I love your gingerbread man! I am not a fan of ginger, so I am more of a sugar cookie fan – I always nibble around the edges first – savoring the anticipation of the decorations!!

  8. Legs and then head. Torso last. (Same order as animal crackers.)

Thank you for putting together these prize packages. They look great.

  9. Such a cute gingerbread man! I love gingerbread men. We always made and frosted them. I have never really thought about it but I think I go right for the head:) Thank you for the opportunity to win this wonderful prize package! Congrats on the blog!

  10. Arms first. I found a gingerbread man template in a first edition Betty Crocker cookbook! Trace around…

  11. Love your characterful chap. Not often I have one to eat, think it would be a case of not looking & biting whichever bit came first.

  12. Well, many years ago I would eat them from the toes up, but now that I’m gluten free, there’s not much in the way of desserts I can eat since commercial GF products don’t sit well, nor does going the almond flour route, so mostly I go without since I avoid most dairy, too. grumble….grumble……I used to make awesome gingerbread houses……

  13. A long while back, I used to get these amazing ginger cookies – very thin and crisp – and share them over coffee with my Mom. The package indicated to press in the center and if they snapped into three pieces it was a sign of good luck. So now, that’s the way I eat any ginger cookie – press the center and eat the resulting pieces in no particular order! Love your blog and the give-away’s are such a nice treat!

  14. Haha, this question reminds me of Shrek where Puss in Boots eats Gingy and asked ‘were you gonna eat that?’ 😀 I personally do not like gingerbread, so I’ll leave Gingy intact. I do love to eat Creme Brulee for dessert and love to crack the sugar with a spoon!

  15. I don’t eat gingerbread people, after all their people! I do however Love a good molasses cookie, soft in the middle and cracked on top with a sugar glaze, yummy!!!! Thanks Sandra this has been fun and I am enjoying your blog.

  16. Yes! Of course I eat the limbs first and then the head and then the body! But then if I ever have an oreo, I twist them apart and lick off the inside icing first and then eat the cookies! I wonder why we do things like that? Thanks to you and Hahnemühle for doing this great giveaway! ♥

  17. It always seems most humane to start with an arm and work around the limbs then the head – leaving the largest, softest part of the body. Your work always makes me smile. thanks so much.

  18. Oh, my gosh! I’m the winner of Giveaway Day 4. I’m jumping up & down with delight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you need my mailing address? If so, it is ***edited so others don’t see address***

I so enjoy your posts, reviews & art.

    1. Gingerbread or anything ginger like cookies is a passion of mine. It always rem8nds me of my mom baking gingerbread for me. I’ve never had a gingerbread man but I would
Start with the head, I’m sure and nibble my way to the feet, yum yum with a big glass of milk. I saw some at the grocery store, gonna go get one!!!

  19. I bite out the eyes and scream “Stop staring at me!” LOL Old Emo Philips routine. Thank you for this opportunity

  20. Run, run! As fast as you can! You can’t catch me, I’m the gingerbread man! I like to eat the head first, too. Yummy!

  21. Off with the head!! Haha! I prefer to bake and decorate them for my friends than to eat them actually. For biscuits, I like shortbread.
