Giveaway Day 4 (Closed)-Celebrating my new blog!

The winner of the Day 3 Giveaway is artfullyjonesy!

My WordPress blog is ready to roll and I’m celebrating with 5 days of giveaways.  Each giveaway runs for 24 hours – 12:00 am to 11:59 pm PST
 and is international.

To Enter: Giveaway has Ended

Leave a comment on this post letting me know if you believe in Mermaids.  Feel free to treat this as a ‘fish that got away’ story and exaggerate as much as you want.  ( It is NOT necessary to subscribe, but I would appreciate it if you did.  I am able to do reviews & giveaways because companies like the number of people who follow me.  The higher the number the more stuff I’ll be able to give away!)

Today’s giveaway ends tonight, December 6, 2018 at 11:59 PM PST.  I’ll reply to the winner’s comment on December 7.  The winner will have 72 hours to respond.

All of the Hahnemühle products were provided by Hahnemühle_USA.  I’m providing the 3-packs of Zebra Pens and for the grand prize on Friday, I also bought a Winsor & Newton Cotman set of watercolors and brushes.

One Winner will receive this Prize Package

Hahnemühle’s Expression watercolor paper is 100% cotton. It makes me think of a hot press surface with a cold press texture.  Because the texture is smoother than most cold-press it has less wear on pens, and works well with watercolor pencils, inks and crayons as well as pen and pencil.

  1. I’m not sure I believe in mermaids as such – but I think deep under the oceans and seas, in those dark crevices that we’ve barely explored there are things we can’t begin to imagine!

  2. Of course i believe in mermaids, unicorns, dragons … you name it and draw it and i believe it. The more fantastic the better . Think of the books of Robin Hobb. I love all the mermaid films you can think . By the way this is a really beautiful mermaid .

  3. I do, I do! My boyfriend’s passion is diving and I have been trying to get the right inspiration to do a piece to hang up in our bedroom. This is a sign!

  4. I believe in mermaids and unicorms. Hubby has a small collection of mermaids. They are beautiful creatures. Maybe I’ll come back as a mermaid in my next life…

  5. Hum, I believe in fairytales so I guess I have to believe in Mermaids as they are fish wit tails, right!

  6. Yes, I believe in Mermaids! I love your art and your new blog! The Hahnemühle Expressions paper is fun for a lot of multi media also! I love it!

  7. shure! but those powerful woman had to go in hiding. now they live on a beautiful, remote island near india. the government forbid people to visit the island, because its the most magical place. a unicorn save zone where dragon breed and get their flying lessons. anyone who tries to get there is either pulled into the deep waters by the great kraken or their boats crash into rocks because the mermaids charm the navigator to leave route. even when they manage to get on the island, the protecting tribe shoot everyone before the dragons get angry and breathe fire. it is known, but not proven, yet the government is in contact with the mermaids. every year they meet far offshore and hold council with the mermaids. rumours say they know about the song they sing to keep the darkness that eats all living sleeping, so that earth is save.

  8. That watercolor paper sounds perfect to use with just about any medium. I have not yet seen a mermaid, but I haven’t seen China either, so just because you haven’t seen something does not mean it doesn’t exist. So, yes, I believe in a lot of unseen things 🙂

  9. You mean there are people who don’t believe in mermaids?! Fascinating. (of course, I do believe……..!)

  10. Of course I believe, and I’d love to draw and paint my mermaid friends on that HAHNEMÜHLE mixed media paper.
    Love your mermaid!

  11. Every legend has it’s basis in fact, so somewhere out there are mermaids for certain! As long as we believe, they will be 🙂

  12. oh, I love your mermaid! and yes, I absolutely do believe in mermaids! hahaha! mermaids and dragons 🙂 don’t worry about entering me in the giveaway – I just wanted to answer your query about mermaids ❤

  13. I do! I do! I do believe in mermaids! I lived on Kaua’i after all and they not only had mermaids, they had Menehune! The little people that came out at night to do work! And we had the Night Marcher ghosts that if they crossed your path you were doomed! Of all that I would like to run into, it would be the mermaids as I’m female and they really like to entice males! Ha! And you don’t want to know what happened to them when they were dragged under the water! ACK!

  14. I believed in mermaids ever since I saw the little mermaid as a child. Also the story in Big Fish (the movie) always made me think there is a whole would out there we create with our imaginations and they are real because we believe in them.

  15. I believe in mermaids and fairies living in secret worlds which can on,y be seen by children or those who truly believe. We need more of this in the world today!

  16. I believe in flying pigs and if they’re real then it follows that I should believe in Mermaids. Believing the impossible to be possible is the message of the season.

  17. There must be mermaids because as a young child, my swimming teacher told me that I swam just like them. I always loved the water, so I truly hope that there are. I may have been as good a swimmer like they were, but i definitely know that I was nowhere near as graceful as I perceived them to be. Still, it’s a good goal to try to learn that grace, so I still try to swim.

  18. of course I believe in mermaids! When I was a child we lived in England and went to Cornwall for our annual holiday. Every year we saw mermaids swimming near the beach and sometimes we found the green glass balls they played with – that was exciting! My Mum still has a couple of balls we found in one of the caves at ‘our’ beach.

  19. Of course I believe in mermaids! When I was a child we lived in England and went to Cornwall every year for our holidays. Several times we saw mermaids frolicking just off the beach. Once or twice we were lucky enough to find the green glass balls they played with and abandoned in the cave at ‘our’ beach! What’s not to believe?

  20. I believe in mermaids, angels, fairies, pixies, Santa Claus, unicorns and every other magical thing! It’s the magic that makes life fun!

  21. Of COURSE, I believe in Mermaids, as well as Mergents! 😉 I painted a large mermaid on my granddaughter’s bedroom wall many years ago. She’s now 18 years old and an avid surfer! She’s a real mermaid, I must say. The ocean transforms her from a shy, soft-spoken young girl to a fierce sea warrior! So, yes, mermaid (and mergents) do exist, in theory and in real life!

  22. I’m skeptical of all legendary beings: mermaids, dragons, children who do their homework the first time you ask them, etc.

  23. Of course I do believe in mermaids….I believe we all have our own fairy tales….so whenever I am swimming I turn into a mermaid…
