East of the Sun and West of the Moon

I’m not sure why but this made me think of the old folktale ‘East of the Sun and West of the Moon’.  I started by gluing down a few leftover scraps of scrapbook paper, then adding a layer of gesso.  I colored with Pentel Metallic Gel pens (laying down a little ink, and smearing with a finger; repeat until page is covered), then did the linework with a Pentel Oh!Gel.  I smeared on some darker green with a green Pentel Energel, and then used a white Pentel Sunburst to add highlights and soften a couple of areas.
